Iva gave a talk and participated in the inaugural First European Conclave, which brought together around 50 leading individuals from across the European Union, spanning various fields such as politics, business, education, science, the arts, and civil society. The Conclave was held in November 2023 in the Citadel of Cascais, Portugal, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo De Sousa. This was a unique event where the participants brainstormed on the main long-term challenges for Europeans anticipated on the horizon of 2040 and on ways to handle them together most effectively. The results of the Conclave will be published in a detailed report, aiming to contribute to the discussions ahead of the European elections in June 2024 and shape the EU’s strategic agenda.
