Mario visited the Meraldi lab

Mario Đura, our PhD student, visited the Meraldi lab at the Department of Cell Physiology and Metabolism, University of Geneva. His visit, from April 12th to May 7th, was funded by the Swiss-Croatian bilateral project “How centrosome age affects the formation, resolution, and fate of polar chromosomes.”
During his four-week stay, he worked alongside his colleague on the project, Dr. Alexandre Thomas, to advance the joint research efforts of both labs. This included quantitative imaging and analysis of centrosome age-related chromosomal misalignment during cell division under a wide range of experimental conditions, as well as generating new fluorescently tagged cell lines. His work was complemented by numerous discussions and meetings with members of the lab and faculty.
