On September 27th and 28th, 2024, the University of Rijeka hosted the CROSCIENCE 2024 Symposium, co-organized by professors Nenad Ban, Ivan Đikić, Stipan Jonjić, Ivana Novak Nakir, Igor Rudan, Igor Štagljar, Adrijana Vinter, and Iva Tolić. The event brought together leading Croatian scientists and experts from both Croatia and abroad.
The symposium was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, who officially opened it with a welcome speech.
The event featured interactive panel discussions focused on inspiring the next generation of scientists, strengthening collaborative networks, and addressing key challenges in scientific communication, career development, and science popularization.
