4th International Mitotic Spindle Conference held in Dubrovnik
From 12 to 15 April 2026, Hotel Kompas in Dubrovnik hosted the 4th edition of the international scientific conference “Mitotic Spindle: From Living and Synthetic Systems to Theory”.
Organized by Prof. Iva Tolić (Ruđer Bošković Institute) and Prof. Nenad Pavin (Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb), this year’s conference was the largest to date, gathering over 110 scientists from Europe, North America, and Asia.
Over four dynamic days, the programme featured more than 40 scientific talks and 50 poster presentations on the biomechanics, molecular mechanisms, and theoretical modeling of the mitotic spindle. Editors from leading scientific journals, including EMBO Press, Nature Communications, and Cell Press, also attended the conference, providing participants with an opportunity to interact with journal representatives alongside global leaders in the field.
The 5th edition of the conference is scheduled for spring 2029 in Dubrovnik!
